Alkalinity in Chlorinated Cleaners, for Caustic and Carbonates (CIP)
Application:
The test is used to determine the alkalinity content of cleaners (raw and stock) and of the working process. Results are expressed in the most common alkalinity builders, and with the proper conversion factor it can be used to determine the concentration of other alkalis. The test is relevant for Cleaning in Place, Laundry, Ware Washing, Metal Cleaning, etc. It contains sodium thiosulfate to eliminate the effect of oxidizers like chlorine, persulfates, chlorine dioxide on the test indicator.
